We were brought in to lead the integration of several legacy systems with a new proprietary web based lending platform. We also had to create and implement several custom applications to manage payments, disbursements and the intricate business logic supporting these applications. We worked in a highly matrixed team, with several external vendors within Jamaica and overseas. We also developed and integrated a custom loan origination system which captures a broad array of quantitative and qualitative data, performs on the fly calculations and will ultimately integrate into an external decisioning system. Phase 1 of the project was delivered in the summer of 2015 and phase 2 is to begin soon.
We were asked to help the Regulator make it easier for customers to interact. So, we redesigned their website, created a custom web application and built custom backend tools including Content Management Systems and other management tools to make it easier for Admin users. We anticipate several follow-on phases to add features relevant to other segments of the Regulator's business.
Client-facing persons needed more speed, agility and nimbleness when communicating client portfolio information to clients. We moved them away from spreadsheets and gave them a custom built tool that helps them dynamically and iteratively present relevant portfolio scenarios to clients. Clients are in a better position to make faster decisions about their investments. The business can do more transactions and focus less on the spreadsheets.
